Today, on the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, we reflect on how far we have come in raising awareness of the dangersposed by landmines, and recommit to our target of a mine-free world.

今天，在国际提高地雷意识和协助地雷行动日之际，我们反思我们在提高人们对地雷构成的危险的认识方面取得了多大进展，并再次致力于实现无地雷世界的目标。

More than 160 states areparty to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention.  I call on those that have not yet acceded  to the Convention to do so without delay.

已有超过160个国家成为《禁止杀伤人员地雷公约》缔约国。我促请尚未加入该公约的国家不再拖延，立即加入。

Landmines, explosive remnants of war and improvised explosive devices disproportionally affect the vulnerable, the forcibly displaced, the dispossessed, and children. They impedepeaceful solutions, hinder humanitarian responses and are an obstacle to sustainable, inclusive development.

地雷、战争遗留爆炸物和简易爆炸装置尤其严重地影响到弱势群体、被迫流离失所者、一无所有者和儿童。它们阻碍和平解决，阻碍人道主义应对工作，是可持续、包容性发展的障碍。

Unfortunately, we sometimes makeprogress on clearing mines only to see it rolled back. But we cannot be content simply with advocacy and campaigning to create awareness of the dangersposed by landmines.

令人遗憾的是，我们不时看到，在清除地雷方面取得进展后，却又出现倒退。而仅仅满足于开展倡导和宣传，提高人们对地雷构成的危险的认识，是不够的。

The United Nations Charter calls us to complete the work: to survey, clear and destroy these deadly devices.

《联合国宪章》呼吁我们完成这项工作：调查、清除和销毁这些致命的装置。

Let’s make this the last decade when we need to devote ourselves to this task.

让我们把这十年定为我们需要全身心投入这项任务的最后十年。
